Let me add some issues:
- an open source software available on all three software platforms means WinDos, Linux and Mac which is watching the Bluetooth signal of my telephine and logs me of when I go away from my PC . A log on is not that important but a good option.
- why is sourceforge not collecting good ideas for programs which are not available and programmers can do them. Support them throught donations before they start. Means, set up an ides, make the specss, look who is interested and willing to pay for (definitely not only one person) and then do it,
what is about hardware manufactured with the idea that the embedded software is as open source software. Look at robots. Make a few, cheap platforms eg a lawn-mower, a guy who can pick up and move items, etc. Actually it is difficult to get a good hardware platform (not the small toys). Then I am sure, there would be a lot of people who would make programs.
